Etnika Zen · timber cabin
A timber cabin.
A treehouse, grown up.
Zen is a year-round cabin built from solid cross-laminated timber. It began with the idea of a modern treehouse, a place that gives you back a little play and imagination, and it kept that shape: the roofline folds like a tent and one whole wall is a window.

Exterior design
Solid wood, folded once.
Zen is built from solid cross-laminated timber panels. Outside, the material expresses what it is: warm, durable and sustainable, with a strong yet gentle character that lets the cabin age gracefully with its environment. Left untreated it silvers; oiled, it keeps its honey tone.
The plan is compact, 19.9 m² on a 5.5 × 3.6 m footprint, but the volume reads as generous. The roof folds diagonally across the box, lifting one corner into a tall glazed gable. That single move gives the cabin its silhouette, its covered terrace, and a wall of light inside.
Clean lines, precise proportions and almost no detailing make the exterior feel light, intentional and timeless.
Interior design
One room for everything. One view that changes with the day.
Inside, the same timber panels that hold the cabin up are its finish. Walls, ceiling and the folded roof are left as visible wood, so the room is warm, quiet and smells faintly of spruce. There is nothing to paint and nothing to hide.
The plan is open. A studio kitchen runs along the solid wall, the living area sits under the tall gable, and the sleeping zone tucks into the lower end of the roof where the ceiling comes down to meet you. A compact bathroom takes the back corner and keeps a window of its own, so even the shower has a view.
A wood stove stands at the centre. It heats the whole cabin in minutes and turns a winter night into the reason you came. Through the panoramic wall the light changes all day; in the evening you draw the curtain, or you don't.

Zen Sauna · concept
Heat. Silence. A view.
The Zen Sauna brings a lounge, washroom and sauna together within the same 19.9 m² silhouette. Warm timber, a wood-burning stove and a glazed gable turn the compact plan into a quiet ritual shaped by the landscape.
